    Abstract
Pastors face difficult and complex cases in counseling throughout their ministries. One of the more complex and increasingly frequent counseling cases is marital infidelity. When a spouse has an affair, the marriage bond is broken and trust is fractured, but divorce may not be the desired outcome. Couples may want to try and reconcile the relationship through counseling with their pastor, and that is the focus of this paper. The researcher will expound on biblical principles of marriage, divorce, and infidelity and apply those truths in counseling situations when a married couple affected by an affair comes into their pastor’s office looking to reconcile.
