    Abstract
Jesus promises that the gospel will work to change hearts, and changed hearts eventually lead to fruits of faith, but the timeline and visible results involved in this spiritual transformation can vary greatly. As a result, we should be patient because it might take time for fruits to bloom. The pastor and congregation have an obligation to show gospel love, not only initially but also continually, for those pining to hear God’s word. This thesis will explore how Jesus treated humans, what challenges people new to the Christian faith will experience, dangers that the congregation and pastor should avoid while dealing with new believers, and some practical applications to minister to new believers.
