Cultural Challenges Confronting Contemporary Ministry
Abstract
Paul Kelm, in his essay to the Southeastern Wisconsin District conference of 1999, describes the many challenges of ministry at the turn of the century. He outlines postmodernism into various categories (pluralism, non-objectivism, deconstruction, cynicism/pessimism, and community). He highlights the issues with a post-literate society and summarizes the generalizations of the three predominate generations (patriotic, boomer, and gen-Xers.)
