A Reaffirmation of the Synodical Conference Teaching on the Real Presence
Abstract
When Jesus commanded, “Do this in remembrance of me,” he was referring to the sacrament actions of the consecration, distribution, and reception of the Lord’s Supper. However, there are still questions concerning when the moment of presence takes place. Professor Gawrisch demonstrates, through a series of quotations, that the WELS has not departed from the Scriptural view. Gawrisch cites Hoenecke, Pieper, the Lutheran Confessions, and Luther.
