The Doctrine of Justification in Light of Present Problems
Abstract
Throughout the course of church history there have been attacks on the doctrine of universal objective justification. The problems which are examined rose in the latter half of the 20th century from Helsinki to Kokomo. Dobberstein brings us back to the basics of justification. A biblically and textually based definition of justification is given, the content of the message is shown to be the Word of reconciliation, and the role of faith in the doctrine of justification is examined. Finally, Dobberstein shows us the connection between justification and sanctification.
